Mother Shipton’s Cave – Robin Hood Summer Adventure

Robin Hood will be in the park during the summer holidays, perhaps there is a champion archer amongst you. Defeat the villainous Sheriff of Nottingham and help unite Maid Marion with her true love.

As you walk through magical woodland props and characters will bring the legend alive. Actors will be stationed as characters in the park to interact with children and help families complete a themed adventure quiz sheet. Fun for all the family every day Saturday 21st July to Friday 31st August, 10am to 5.30pm (last admission 4.30pm). Standard admission prices apply which can be found on our website.

See the famous Petrifying Well and Mother Shipton’s Cave. The park also has several scenic picnic areas alongside the popular River Nidd, an adventure playground and museum and gift shop.

Beningbrough Hall Summer Days

There’s an exciting new addition to the wilderness play area ready for the summer holidays. Behold…a new 7m pyramid tower complete with climbing wall, two slides and 5m swing bridge. The trusty old fort had reached its life span but the tower will be fabulous fun for toddlers and teenagers alike.

During August we’ll be running Artrageous! craft activities in the Hayloft on Mondays and Wednesdays with inspiration from the ‘Making her mark – celebrating creative women’ exhibition in the Hall.

Grass Hoppers at Tong Garden Centre

Life Size T-Rex Comes To Trinity Leeds

If you go down to Trinity Leeds today (or any other day over the holidays) you’re in for a ginormous surprise!  A life sized trespassing Tyrannosaurus Rex has landed right in the middle of the shopping centre and he’ll be roaring, blinking, lifting his arms and waving his tail to scare and surprise crowds for the next 6 weeks.

At 16 metres long, 8 metres high and weighing over 3-tonne’s the T-Rex is incredibly realistic. Its a collaborative project brought to Leeds thanks to LeedsBID, Trinity Leeds and Child Friendly Leeds.  It’s completely free to visit and the public are invited to pop by and snap a selfie from Friday 20th July- Sunday 2nd September 2018.  There will also be a dino shop where you can pick up jurassic inspired toys, books and gifts too.

This Summer Temple Newsam invites you to make magical mixtures, brilliant brews and colourful creations to make you feel better inside and out. Each week has a special themed ‘make and take’ crafts, secret trails, games and explorer trails.

Amazing Animals Week. 11th-19th August 2018. 10am-5pm (Closed Monday’s)

Returning this summer for all animal lovers and wannabe vets, for the chance to meet special guests visiting the farm, from owls, snakes, minibeasts, and more. PLUS, meet friendly creatures from sister attractions Tropical World and Lotherton Wildlife World. As well as pony rides!

The Snail and the Whale

Join a tiny snail on her trip round the world in Tall Stories’ magical, musical production inspired by the fantastic bestselling picture book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. Storytelling, live music and lots of laughs for everyone aged 4 and up, from the Olivier Award-nominated company that brought you ‘The Gruffalo’ and ‘Room on the Broom’ live on stage.

Creative fun for children under 5! Bring the little ones along to join in creative and messy play. Inspired by The Tetley’s exhibition programme and all things creative, activities include things such as sensory activities to playing with different types of bright colourful materials, to drawing on a big scale.

The workshops are aimed for children under 5 and are especially good for ages 1-4. £3 per child.

Wild West Horse Show at Royal Armouries

Yorkshire Museum of Farming Summer 2018

22nd -23rd July: Vikings on the Village. Walk through history and see how the Vikings lived.

Throughout the Summer Holidays see the tractors and animals, play in the sandpit and new soft play area for under 5’s, find the Trolls instruments and Fairy Garden.
