The Daisy Foundation: Garforth, Selby and Tadcaster

The Daisy Foundation: Garforth, Selby and Tadcaster offers a range of antenatal classes and baby classes near Leeds and York. Current venues include Garforth, Monk Fryston and Tadcaster.

The range of antenatal classes and baby classes offered includes Daisy Birthing, Active Birth Workshops, Breastfeeding Workshops and Daisy Baby Tinies.

Daisy Birthing classes combine yoga-based movement, antenatal and active birth education, breathing techniques, relaxation and peer-to-peer support. We aim to help you to learn your antenatal education and active birth techniques in a truly effective way.

Our Active Birth Workshop is a relaxed antenatal class where each couple gains knowledge and understanding of the labour journey, and how they are able to use gravity, movement and each other to prepare for birth.

Our Antenatal Breastfeeding Workshop is designed to support expectant parents in their understanding and expectations of breastfeeding their baby. The workshop covers: benefits of breastfeeding; the first hour; anatomy and physiology; hunger cues; positioning and attachment; the first 10 days; expressing milk; and challenges.

Daisy Baby Tinies is our integrated class for mum and baby where baby massage, baby yoga, baby reflexology and calming techniques are delivered alongside educational themes which will be relevant to the babies’ developmental milestones.
